SCINT Mission Statement

Conduct and encourage regional efforts to counter illegal drug activities for the purpose of promoting public safety and improving the quality of life on the Oregon South Coast.

Areas of focus will include:
    • Interagency narcotics criminal investigations
    • Continued gathering and sharing intelligence information regarding illegal drug activities
    • Prosecution of offenders for illegal drug activities
    • Training vehicle for:
        o Law enforcement personnel
        o Schools - public education system
        o Landlords
        o General public
• Be an active link between other agencies

From the Director:

Citizens of Coos, Curry and Western Douglas Counties, my name is Toby Floyd and I was recently appointed Director of SCINT. I am a 12 year veteran of the Coos County Sheriff’s Office. It is my goal to provide the best possible service to the public that SCINT serves. Our counties are currently feeling the impact of reduced budgets and manpower while the illicit activities of drug dealers prosper. The methamphetamine epidemic we are plagued with fuels many of the violent crimes in our communities as well as other crimes such as identity theft, forgeries, burglaries and of late metal thefts of aluminum and copper. Help us by reporting narcotics activity.
