Multi-Agency Search Finds Missing Teens

Three teenagers who had been reported missing near Bastendorff Beach Park Wednesday night were found safe after apparently spending the night in the brush.

According to the Coos County Sheriff's Office, relatives reported to police that (names withheld by CCSAR), all of Coos Bay, were last seen walking on the beach around 6:30 PM that night. The surrounding area was searched by throughout the night by sheriff's deputies, Coos County Search and Rescue, the U.S. Coast Guard and park rangers.

The juveniles were found hiding in the brush at 8:30 AM Thursday along the East Side of Bastendorff Campground by a Coos County park ranger.

They were listed in good condition and returned to their families, the Sheriff's Office said.
